Cracked Feet can Slow You Down This Summer

Do you often find yourself dealing with cracked feet during the spring and summer months? Do they become so painful that you find it difficult to walk?

Should this common ailment slow you down in the weeks to come, there are several simple steps you can take at home to bring much needed relief to your life.

•    Soak your feet: Fill a bowl or your bathtub with lukewarm water. Add soap, submerge your feet, and leave them there for 20 minutes.

•    Scrub them: Once the 20 minutes is up, scrub your feet with a pumice stone or loofah. This will help remove any thick, hardened, and cracked skin. Just make sure you’re gentle, as you don’t want to irritate any cuts.

•    Dry your feet and apply a moisturizer: Once your feet are dry, apply a moisturizer over the affected area. Along with this, you may also want to apply petroleum jelly, as this helps keep the moisture in your skin.

Rather than suffer through summer with dry, cracked feet, take these three simple steps. You’ll soon realize that your feet are feeling better than ever before. Not to mention the fact that this treatment strategy can help prevent drying and cracking in the future.
