Do you often wake up with dry morning eyes? Are you ready to do something about it once and for all?
In addition to consulting with your eye doctor, there are a variety of home remedies you can experiment with. Here are a few of the best:
• Drink more water: By drinking a minimum of eight glasses of water per day, you reduce the risk of waking up with dry eyes.
• Warm compresses: Do this first thing in the morning as a means of unclogging oil-producing glands. Close your eyes and gently apply pressure.
• Turn on a humidifier: This is particularly important during the dry winter months. By adding moisture to indoor air, you reduce the risk of your eyes and skin drying out.
• Cut back on screen time: Don’t watch too much television or use your phone for an extended period of time before retiring for the evening.
By experimenting with these home remedies, there’s a good chance you’ll eliminate the morning dry eyes that have been causing you so much discomfort.
