As the months of spring continue to wear on, you may soon find the changing weather taking a toll on your skin. For many people, dry skin during the spring season is a major concern.
Fortunately, there are several simple steps you can take to prevent dry skin during this time of the year:
• Choose a gentle cleanser: If dry skin has the tendency to cause you issues, opt for micellar water for cleaning your face. It’s effective in lifting oils, dirt, and makeup from your skin, leaving it fresh and clean – all without any concerns about dryness.
• Use a high quality moisturize: Get into the habit of doing so in the morning and evening, as this approach will keep your skin soft and flake free. The key to success here is choosing a high quality, water based moisturizer.
• Forget about hot showers: It’s tempting to take a hot shower, but it’s also one of the fastest ways to strip your skin of natural oils. And when that happens, dryness sets in. This doesn’t mean you have to take a cold shower. Just turn the heat down a few notches, opting for lukewarm over steaming hot.
Rather than contend with dry skin all spring long, try out one or more of these prevention tips. It may be just what you need to keep your skin feeling good and looking its best.
