It’s that time of the year again. Time for your children to take to the classroom for another year of learning.
As a parent, you’ll have many concerns about the new school year. At the top of the list is your child’s safety.
Fortunately, there are a few back to school safety tips you can follow – and share with your child – to keep them as safe as possible:
· Always wash your hands: Let your child know how important it is to wash their hands throughout the day, as this can help stop the spread of germs that lead to the cold, flu, and other ailments.
· Bus stop safety is a must: For example, talk to your child about the best route to and from the bus stop. Also, give them guidance on where to walk, when to board the bus, and what to do after they get off the bus.
· Beware of the heavy backpack: It sounds silly, but if your child’s backpack is too heavy it can put unnecessary strain on their back and/or neck. This can lead to many health concerns, such as strained muscles and ligaments.
These aren’t the only back to school safety tips to follow over the weeks to come, but they’ll definitely give you some peace of mind.
