Spring is in the air and with that, you’ll soon find yourself prepping your home (indoors and outdoors) for warmer weather.
And while it can be exciting to look forward to everything spring and summer will bring, you don’t want to rush through the spring cleaning process. Doing so puts your health at risk, and that’s never a good thing.
Here are three spring cleaning tips that will help keep you safe:
• Be careful on ladders: Maybe you’re using a ladder to clean your gutters. Or perhaps you need to wipe down your windows. Regardless of why you need a ladder, don’t do anything that makes you uncomfortable.
• Lift with your legs: It doesn’t take a super-heavy object to cause an injury, such as a back or neck strain. When lifting, let your legs do the work. And if you need someone to help you, don’t hesitate to ask.
• Beware of allergens: From the dust in your garage and attic to the pollen in the air, you know that allergens are everywhere. If allergens have caused you trouble in the past, protect yourself in advance this year.
By following these safety tips, you’ll maintain your health all while getting a lot done around home.
