Sleep deprivation is a major concern among many people. It doesn’t matter if you’re losing out on sleep as the result of a health ailment or you simply don’t have time in your schedule, the end result can be devastating.
Here are just a few of the many effects it can have on your mental and physical health, as well as your life as a whole:
• Memory issues
• Mood swings
• Inability to formulate clear thoughts and concentrate
• High blood pressure
• Weakened immune system
• Weight gain
• Poor balance
Now what do you think? Do you see why it’s so important to get a minimum of seven to eight hours of sleep per night, as an adult?
Should a lack of sleep begin to add up, you’ll quickly realize just how difficult it is to maintain your health and the life you’ve built. For example, your career could suffer as you struggle to concentrate.
If you’re not getting enough sleep, look into ways you can adjust your schedule. And if a health concern is holding you back, find a remedy. You’ll be surprised at how much better you feel once you start getting enough sleep. It’ll transform your life!
